People always say, "I don't want an adult cat. It's gotta be a kitten because I want to shape and mold it to be exactly what I want!" I'm Aerith and... lol. Good luck with that, humans. I'm six months old and if there's one thing you need to know about me, it's that I'm my OWN cat! I mean, I'm still a lot of the things that people often want in a cat: I'm loving and outgoing and I LOVE to play with toys! I'll chase around a puffball like my life depends on it and then carry my "prey" around
Give STL Day has OFFICIALLY come to a close! Thank you to EVERYONE who donated, shared posts and helped us exceed our goal! We're so close to our with just ONE HOUR left to give! Can you help us help dogs like Vivien? When the dog house where little Vivien had been living with her sisters caught fire, her life changed in an instant. She was just a tiny baby puppy and that dog house was the only life she had ever known. And now? She was severely burned and in need of intensive veterinary care. Luckily for them, Open Door was there. We rushed Vivien and her sisters straight to the vet, where one succumbed to her injuries and one (you may remember
If you've spent any time in animal rescue, you know how bad it has to be for the police to intervene. And in Bones' case... they had little choice. Bones was one of about a dozen animals in one home living a life of squalor, neglect, and abuse until they arrived at the shelter. He was found locked in a crate that was piled high with excrement, scared, missing hair, and severely underweight. Little did he know what lay ahead! It's taken a little while, but Bones is finally ready to find a new home! He's healthy, shiny, muscular, and SO sweet
My name is Turtle and I have a superpower: I can bring joy to people's lives. I may only have three legs but I'm a benevolent force for good. I'm super-soft, super-sweet, super-pretty and my physical differences make me super-special. I came to the Sanctuary with one front leg badly injured and it had to be amputated. I'm adjusting really well to my new body and I can jump and climb just as well as any other cat. I can even still make air biscuits, even though it looks a little different now. I'm not looking to save the whole

I've heard lots of promises from humans in my life. Like, "Don't worry, Venus- you'll grow into those ears!" or "You'll catch that squirrel one of these days." Not all of those promises have come to fruition, but that's okay- there's only one promise I really care about. It's the one I'm still waiting for: "I promise I'll never give up on you." I can make you a few promises of my own, you know. I can promise to be happy to see you, even if I've never met you before. And I promise to be an enthusiastic playmate- always ready

Okay, yes- finding a home for two dogs is harder than just one. But maybe it would help if you didn't think of Hannah and Peanut as two dogs. I mean, they're what- twenty pounds combined? Don't think of them as Hannah and also Peanut. It's just HannahandPeanut. Or maybe you could think of them as one small dog and one furry animate potato who loves belly rubs. Peanut is undeniably dog-shaped, but little Hannah? At least half of a spud. If you can only handle one dog's worth of activity, you're in luck! These two are both 12 years young.
