Open Door is a reputable, 501(c)3 non-profit with a 48-year history of helping homeless animals in greater St. Louis. We are proud that our program vs. administrative/fundraising percentage is ALWAYS higher than the minimum suggested average of 75% (our five year average is 86%). This means an average of nearly 86 cents on every dollar donated is spent directly on the 350 cats and dogs we take care of each day here at our Sanctuary. We are a Guidestar Gold Star Charity and an accredited Better Business Bureau Charity! Open Door can be trusted as a good steward of your charitable contribution.
