Where'd I get these extra toes? Well, I was walking along one day, counting on my toes the number of reasons you should adopt me, when I ran out of toes before I ran out of reasons. Suddenly, I came upon a mysterious lamp half-buried in the dirt. I pulled it out and began to wipe it off, and whaddaya know- a genie appeared! He was like "Hey Shanghai, I'm a real busy genie, so you only get one wish today and you have five seconds to decide!" Should I have wished for a family right there and then? Maybe,
Some of us thrive on chaos, while some of us... do not. My name is Meatball (I know it's a gender-ambiguous name. I'm a Miss Meatball, in case you were wondering) and I'm the sort who prefers minimal chaos, thanks very much. Now, don't get me wrong- It's not that I'm a lazy dog! I'm only a year old and I'm plenty lively. Think of me more like a woodland creature: when it's all birdsong and meadows, you'll find me frolicking joyfully through the wildflowers. But if you were to drop me in the middle of Times Square, I wouldn't know

Okay, get ready. You've gotta rehearse because, once you take me home, your life will be full of these encounters. When people say "Oh my gosh, what a cute dog!" you say, "Thank you! This is Sushi. He's friendly and loves people!" And when they say, "What kind of dog is he?" you can say, "He's a rescue!" or you can say, "He's a little-legged big-eared mix of some sort!" or you can just say, "He's an American." Or I guess you can get my DNA done and tell them the results, which I suspect will be a list of
My mission: destroy, dismantle, engulf in flames. Whether it's the patriarchy, oppressive systems of government, or the tchotchkes on your tchotchke shelf... I'm not picky. If there's chaos, I'm a happy little Puddle. Puddle is my name, by the way. Isn't it sweet and cute and springy? And yes, that is one side of my personality. I'm affectionate and adorable and I love making friends. I mean, just look at this squishy little face: the little pink nose and pastel colors that say "what a little angel," and also eyes that clearly say "do you want to join my cult?"
I don't mean to complain, but I was given to believe that I would find a home as soon as I was ready to go. "Don't get too comfortable, Gomer," they all said. "You're not going to last long." I can see where that seemed like a reasonable prediction. I mean, I'm adorable, outgoing, curious, and I love to play! I'm three months old, love making friends with humans, and I'll cuddle when I'm sleepy. And who could resist these big brown eyes and this little pink nose? I'm everything you could ever want in a kitten, except... well, it's a
Tuesday Boost-Day! Mylah is still waiting! She and I hit the trails this weekend and she was a dream. Sure, she's a huge dog, but she listened well and was lovely and gentle with everyone. We even had an off-leash dog run up to us (rude- don't do this on public trails) and she was happy to make friends and help lead the dog back to his owner. Mylah is a major cuddlebug, a serious goofball, and a total sweetheart. I spent the whole drive back wondering how I could take her home myself and make it work. Answer: I
