Eureka – Ready for Adoption!
Okay, so here’s the plan: get a big ol’ giant flashing neon sign that says “KID FRIENDLY, CAT FRIENDLY, DOG FRIENDLY” and just carry it with me everywhere I go until I get adopted. Right now, the sign on my condo door says the basics: that my name is Eureka, that I’m about four years old, that I’m neutered… that kind of stuff. What it doesn’t say is all the stuff you REALLY want to know, like that I’m the kind of cat who will waste no time climbing into your lap and then full-on making out with you. Or that I’m cool with other cats and have lived with kids, including little ones. Or that I’ll shamelessly demand “uppies” from friends and strangers alike. Or that I’ll follow you everywhere you go. I used to go outside and make friends with the neighborhood dogs in my previous home, but my roaming days are over. It’s a lot safer for cats to stay indoors and the shelter has rules about that kind of thing. I’m still getting used to that idea, though, and I tend to want to see what’s on the other side of every door I encounter. I’m adorable, charismatic, fearless, and I can’t wait to meet you! Come check me out!
