Look out, world: here I come! My name is Odette and I’m ready to make my debut. I might just be the girl of your dreams, so don’t pass me by!

I’m six months old and the absolute epitome of adorable. Like, you don’t even have to do anything. When I want cuddles, I take matters into my own paws. I’ll jump right into your arms and snuggle in. I’ll even flip myself over when I want to be held like a baby. I LOVE people- friends and strangers alike- and I’m totally fearless when it comes to exploring.  In fact, that fearlessness may have been the thing that got me into trouble. When I came to the shelter, I had a broken pelvis. Ow! I couldn’t walk or run or jump or anything. How did I get it? It remains a mystery. The vet said I had to spend six weeks on crate rest, so… that’s what I did. Man, it was rough, but I really wanted to get healthy so I could go home with someone like you! In my foster home, I discovered that I’m not a big fan of dogs (big or small). Could I maybe get used to a chill dog with time? Maybe, but I’d kinda just prefer a dog-free home.  Now that I’m on the mend, I’m making up for lost time! I have no lingering health problems and you would never know that I’ve had such a rough road. I love zooming around the office like it’s the Indy 500 and then leaping into people’s laps without warning. My favorite toys are: jingle balls, strings, and ESPECIALLY my slingshot chicken.  Now, with other cats, I’m a little socially awkward. I’m very vocal around them, so it can be hard for them (and the humans) to tell if I’m playing or not. I think, mostly, I AM playing, but I’m still working out how not to be a little defensive. I’ve been back at the shelter a few days now and, while I still have a dramatic streak, I’m more comfortable and less growly by the day. If I were to move in with another cat, I’d need them to be pretty chill and confident and able to take it in stride when I talk smack.  For the right home, I’d be the absolute perfect cat. Lots of fun, super sweet, extremely cuddly, and a champion at making air biscuits. So don’t waste another precious minute that we could be spending together. Come and meet me!
