How are you, my dahling? I'm Tabby (with the lovely copper spots and streaks) and this is my life partner, Lexi (with the white mittens). We've come to you with a simple request: Just come see us. Give us a chance. Where's the harm in that? I'll tell you. There is none. And if you come and see us, you might want to pet us. We wouldn't mind. In fact, both of us love attention and will come and weave around your ankles and look up at you with our big moon eyes. I'm okay with being held, while Lexi
My name is Soda Pop! I know I look like a very realistic squishmallow and... well, maybe I am! Are "squishmallow" and "actual living cat" mutually exclusive? Whatever I am, I think we can both agree that I'm an extremely cute one. And yes, you can absolutely shake my little mittens and boop my nose and kiss these chunky cheeks. You can even scratch my belly and hold me like a baby. In fact, I hope you do! I live for all that stuff. I'm a mellow guy who, in the shelter, keeps to myself until someone comes and visits
This #GivingTuesday, we come together to MAKE A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE! Thank you for choosing to support Open Door Animal Sanctuary on this National Day of Giving! I know people prefer it when dogs can be put neatly in little boxes. This one is cuddly. That one is wild. This one is a couch potato. That one is shy. This one is gentle. That one is aggressive. Period. When you get down to it, no dog fits perfectly into those boxes. We're living animals with our own complete personalities. Especially me. My name is Sadie and I defy classification. At the root of it, I guess it's actually pretty simple. I'm scared. I lost my family and came to a shelter full of strange people and dogs. I know
Stegosaurus is on a quest for answers. While pondering questions like why humans have hair on their heads and cats have fur all over, she also wonders if a turtle with wings could fly or how high a cat could jump on the moon. Her most burning question is about "adoption." Stegosaurus knows it means finding a loving human family and she's excited about the concept. She already has a large cat family and adores humans. She's outgoing, friendly and enjoys playtime without getting too wild. Stegosaurus loves attention, meeting new people and following them around. She's convinced she's the
We are excited to announce that preparations are in full swing for this year's annual Ornament Drive! So, how does this heartwarming initiative work? We supply the ornaments and you generously offer the venue. Each cardboard ornament showcases an adorable, adoptable animal on the front, along with a concise wish list on the back. These ornaments can be proudly displayed at your business, school, church or any other location, inviting kind-hearted individuals to select ornaments and help fulfill the wishes. If you'd like to join us in spreading joy and making a difference, please reach out to Amanda at cats@odas.org

We have a beautiful shelter. A dedicated, loving staff. We do the absolute best we can. But nothing can change the fact that a shelter is not a home. It can be stressful for a cat to live around so many strangers, noises, smells, and other cats. Even if they don't mind other cats, living with dozens of them all the time is a lot! For some cats, the best thing for them is to be in the shelter where they can meet the public and find a home! But cats who find the shelter extremely stressful often don't behave in ways
They call me Li'l Luna and I've got enthusiasm COMING OUT MY EARS! Which, given the size and volume of these ears, is really saying something. I love the sky. I love the leaves falling all around me. I LOVE other dogs and I LOOOOVEEEEE people. At seven months old, I'm still just a kid. I haven't reached the "play it cool" stage of my life yet, you know? If I like something, I'm gonna let you know. And I like everything. The cracks in the sidewalk are amazing. Is that a worm? Incredible. I would love to have a family-
My name is Delilah and I'm like a geode. Right away, I might seem kind of stony. A bit of a tough exterior. But it's what's inside that really sparkles! It's not til you chip away at the outside a bit that you get to see how special I am. I'm loving and wonderful and polite. Once I get to know you a little, I'll flop over for belly scratches and wrap my paws around your arm to hang on. I'm seven years old, so I know how to behave! I can be trusted to be left home alone, I know the
