Satchmo is 14 years young and still full of life, charm, and personality. This handsome gentleman is healthy, agile, and has perfected the art of cozy living—he loves rearranging his blankets until they’re just right before settling in for a well-deserved nap.

But Satchmo isn’t just about naps—he’s a talker! He’ll chat with you about his day, your day, and everything in between. If you’ve ever wanted a roommate who always has something to say, Satchmo’s your guy. He’s also a fan of bird-watching… YouTube-style. Just set up his favorite bird videos and watch him become completely mesmerized.  While he’s not the biggest fan of being held, he’ll allow it if you ask nicely. He’s got boundaries, but he’s also got a big heart and a lot of love to give.  Satchmo is currently holding court at Open Door Animal Sanctuary, and he’s ready to find a home where he can talk, lounge, and bird-watch to his heart’s content.  Come meet him—you’ve never met a cat quite like Satchmo.
