Camellia – Ready for Adoption!

My name is Camellia and, this week, I had my first half-birthday! That’s right: I’m officially six months old!  They tell me that, for your birthday, you get to make a wish and it has a higher-than-average chance of coming true! I suppose I’m only entitled to half a wish, but I’m a “think big” kind of girl and I’m going to shoot for the stars anyway!  My wish is that I will get to grow up in a family of my own. My wish is to be loved for the rest of my life!
It could happen! I mean, it’s not like I’m wishing that dogs could eat chocolate or that everything I touched turned to rotisserie chicken. All I want is for someone to choose me. And I’m a friendly, happy, adorable puppy who is only about 30 lb right now. I already know how to sit and I’m all kinds of fun! I get along with other dogs and love to play with other puppies or puppies-at-heart. I mean, I’m a catch!  My perfect home would be with an active family who loves to play as much as I do and has LOTS of dog toys! I’m a sucker for anything with a squeaker. I’m an energetic girl who thinks pretty much everything that happens to me is the most exciting thing I’ve ever experienced! Learning my manners is… a work in progress. It’s tough to learn all that when you’re a little orphan, you know?! That’s why I need a family!  So when I blow my half-birthday candle out, that’s what I’ll wish for. I know you’re not supposed to tell, but I’m not the type to passively wait around for good things to come to me. How are you supposed to know that I’m here and waiting for you if I don’t tell you?! Let’s make it happen!
