I’m Sapphire and I’m here to tell you all about me! Now, I could pretend that I’m the kind of dog who just loafs around all the time. Shenanigans? Never heard of her. My favorite activity is sitting quietly and being seen, not heard. I could tell you all that, but let’s be honest- there’s no way you’d believe me. Nor should you. One look at this cheeky smile and you’ll know what I’m really about!

I’m lively, curious, and tons of fun! I may only be about 30ish pounds, but I’m a force to be reckoned with. I’m smart and active and full of energy and potential!

I came to the shelter as a stray, so the staff can only make guesses as to my past. They can tell you about my present, though- like, I know how to sit on command and I’ve enjoyed playing with other dogs! I love going for walks, but I could use a little more practice to perfect my leash manners. I haven’t met cats, so I’m not sure what I’d think of them. I can come off as a little bit aloof or unfocused, especially when meeting new people, as though I’m just not quite sure what to make of them at first, but I do warm up eventually.

So that’s past (mystery) and present covered. What about my future? Well, that’s up to you. Will we have adventures together? Will you teach me wonderful things? Will you be my safe and solid place for the rest of my life? I can’t wait to find out.
