My name is Oliver Twist and I’m more than just a pretty face! I’m a complex and often-misunderstood individual who needs a special kind of person.

People call me lots of things. Some say I’m just kind of an a-hole. Some say I’m a sensitive baby. There’s more nuance to me than can be summed up in a social media post, but I’ll do my best!  To begin with, I can be shy at first. And I’m not going around looking for trouble, but if I’m cornered and feel threatened, I will absolutely slap or nip. If you want to walk into the shelter, scoop up a strange cat, and have them instantly connect with you, you should probably pick a different cat. That ain’t me. And if you’ve already got a rigid idea of how you want a cat to act and aren’t willing to accept and adapt to my quirks, then… I’m gonna hold your hand as I say this… I am not the cat for you.  When I do warm up to you, though, it’s like heating your Spaghettios on high: one minute, still chilly. The next, blazing hot! Sunday, leave me alone or I’ll cut you. Monday, please order a baby carrier for me because I want to spend all my time snuggled up next to you.  I’m a hugger and a kisser and a lover. I’ll wrap my paws around your neck and nestle under your chin. I like other cats and I REALLY love to play. I’ll do crazy acrobatics around my cat tree when a toy is involved! I’m told it’s extremely entertaining. I’m also a total foodie, so if you want to win me over, y’know… I like snacks.  I guess I’m kind of what you would call a “karma cat.” If you’re the sort of patient, respectful, compassionate person who deserves it, you’ll be rewarded handsomely with all the love you could imagine and an adorable, fun, full-of-personality little companion. I would love a peaceful home with lots of toys and not too many visitors, where I can learn to relax, let my guard down, and be the brilliant cat I am!  My name is Oliver Twist, I’m about two years old, and I’m neutered, up to date on shots, and fully vetted.
