Sissy – Ready for Adoption!

Fauja Singh completed the Toronto Waterfront Marathon at the age of 100. They had to create a whole new age division for track & field athlete Stanislaw Kowalski because he was 105 when he last competed! So don’t count me out just yet. My name may be “Sissy,” but I’m no shrinking violet.  Yes, I’m 12 years old and about 10 lb with a heavily-sugared muzzle and the snaggliest of snaggleteeth. I’m a little old lady and proud of it! I’m also a terrier to the bone, which means I can still bounce six feet in the air and outrun a jackrabbit.  Sure, sure, I’ve got plenty of energy, but do you know what I most like to pour it into? Snuggling. I LOVE a lap. I’ll wiggle my way into your arms so adeptly that you’ll find yourself holding me and have no idea how we got into that position. I’ll lay my little head on your shoulder and wrap my paws around you like you’re the most important person in the universe. And if that doesn’t get your attention? I’ll roll over for a belly rub.
Listen, the thing is, I’m delightful. I’m outgoing and good with strangers, I’m lots of fun, and I’m super cute. I’ve lived with other dogs and done well, but I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting cats. I’m generally well-behaved and well-mannered (that is, as long as you can forgive my persistent invasion of your personal space). Whether you’re a fellow senior who is just as lively as I am or a young person who just wants a best friend, I think I’d be the perfect choice.
