Jenkins – Ready for Adoption!
I’m told that my name, Jenkins, makes me sound like someone’s butler. It’s true! But I’m afraid buttling isn’t really my strong suit. I’m not one for blending into the background until someone needs a drink or a newspaper or to be escorted to the door. I want to be seen!
Yes, I’m very attentive. In fact, once I get to know you and decide we’re pals, you’ll become practically the center of my world. I’ll lie in your lap making air biscuits, distract you with kisses, or help you out with your computer work. The thing is, a butler’s supposed to be unobtrusive and me? I’m definitely obtrusive. I expect you to return some of those kisses. I’m absolutely capable of jumping up into your lap, but sometimes, I’d rather just sit at your feet and meow til you pick me up.
I do tend to prefer to take some time to get to know someone before I decide that we’re going to be the very best of friends, of course. My love is like homemade bread: better if you give it some time to rise and totally worth a little patience.
There are two major pathways to my heart. One is toys. Strings, springs, and anything that moves will have me doing all sorts of acrobatics! The other is… just do something time-sensitive that takes a little concentration. I will suddenly appear to lounge on your paperwork or teach you new keyboard shortcuts.
I love other cats- especially kittens like myself! I’m almost five months old, which I think is the most fun age. And when it comes to dogs, I’m wary, but curious. I think that, once I figure out if they’re safe and friendly, I could be friends with a dog.
So, even though I’m not well-suited to the art of butlery, I hope I can be of some service! I’d love to come live at your place.
My name is Jenkins, I’m four months old, and I’m neutered, up to date on shots, and fully vetted.
