Would you rather spend an evening in your recliner than out on the town? Do you enjoy a lovely walk in the park on a nice day and think the only thing that could make it better would be to have a friend along for company? Well… then I think we might be a good match. Are you on the mature side like I am (I’m nine years old)? Or you just have a heart for the seniors.  I’m Penné and I think we might just be perfect for each other.  I’m a sweet, sensitive lady who wants nothing more than to live the quiet life. I like my routines, while I love going for walks, I don’t need tons of exercise. I’m the type who will be cordial and friendly to everyone, but can be a little reserved until I really get to know you. I do hope someone will give me the time and opportunity to show them who I am, even if it takes a little time!  I haven’t had much contact with cats, but I’m good with other dogs and I’m a gentle, peaceful soul overall.

You may have noticed by looking at me, of course, that I’m… family-sized. There’s more of me to love. I’m decidedly rotund. I should be around 30 lb: not 100% beagle, obviously, but beagle-flavored. Right now, I’m closer to 60 lb. That’s not the best for me (my little legs aren’t meant to carry this much weight), but dogs- especially quasi-beagles like me- are not exactly famous for our willpower when it comes to food. We depend on our humans to make sure we’re fed appropriately. Sometimes, “spoiled” and “taken care of” don’t mean the exact same thing and I need a human who is able to say “no” to me when it’s in my best interest.  So let’s become each other’s constant companion. Let’s spend all the quiet days and little moments together.
