Peanut – Ready for Adoption!
RBF or “Resting B*tch Face” is defined as “a facial expression that unintentionally creates the impression that a person is angry, annoyed, irritated, or contemptuous.” Famous sufferers include Kristen Stewart, King Louis XIV, and Grumpy Cat. And me: Peanut. A literal angel. An absolute cherub. A precious little jewel… who just happens to, at all times, look like I’m listening to someone tell me why they don’t believe women should be allowed to vote. You may be tempted to tell me I’d be prettier if I smiled more, but I think I’m perfect just the way I am. I’m affectionate, gentle, outgoing, and, even though I’m 13 years old, I’ll still play with you if you bring me a toy. I like to snuggle, I love a cat tree, and I’m a pretty mellow soul. I’d be a phenomenal companion for someone who has a quiet home and just needs a sweet little friend. In fact, while I don’t discriminate based on age and would love to be adopted by anyone, there is a bonus for my fellow seniors: if someone over 65 adopts me, my adoption fee is $1 and routine vet care for the rest of my life is covered at the shelter at no cost. I love you humans, even if my expression sometimes gives the wrong impression. It’s cats I don’t like. And yes, living in the shelter with 50 of them has been tough on me. I’d be much happier and more comfortable living in a single-cat home. I haven’t had enough experience with dogs to know what I’d think of them. So give me a chance. Change my life. You never know… you may be the one to turn this frown upside-down! My name is Peanut, I’m thirteen years old, and I’m spayed, up to date on shots, and fully vetted.
