Barry – Ready for Adoption!
Cats aren’t great with computers, but I hear there’s been a change in my record in the shelter computer system lately. Normally, it just says “Barry” and then it says that I’m a neutered male, about 4 years old, up to date on shots, good with other cats, and so forth. Now, it says “Barry

” because I’ve been here and waiting for a home for six months. 201 days, to be exact. That officially classifies me as a “long-stay” cat. Why? Search me! I’m a great cat. I’m affectionate and fun, I like to play with toys, and I’m a total cutie pie with my big ol’ head. I get along with other cats, I’ll flop on my side when you scratch my head, and I’m cool with strangers. I think I get overlooked mostly because I spend most of my time hanging out in my cat apartment, which is kind of out of the way. It doesn’t take too much to make me happy! I’m a chill guy who just wants a chill life. But it means that I won’t just fall into your lap- you have to come and see me! Speaking of laps, in the shelter, I’m a march-around-you-and-give-headbutts kind of fella. I like my autonomy and am not thrilled about being picked up, especially if I don’t know you. Once I’m in a home and start to feel safe, that may change… or, I might just never be a carry-me-around kitty and that would also be okay. So if you want to help a fella out, I could really use a hand- six months is a long time to wait! My name is Barry, I’m four years old, and I’m neutered, up to date on shots, and fully vetted
