What's in a name? I'm Shadow! Yeah, probably not what you were expecting. I'm a girl. A German Shepherd. And I'm white. But "Snowflake" in German is "Schneeflocke" and no dog in the history of ever has wanted to be named that. So... Shadow it is. In all honesty, that's kind of where my "defying expectations" thing ends. If you're a shepherd person, I'm pretty sure you're gonna like me! I'm a smart lady. If you ask me to sit, I'll do it, even if you don't have a treat. I'm cautious and a little aloof around new people, but
What's your rescue cat name? Okay, here's how you figure it out: it's the color of your fur and the first letter of your oldest kitten's name. I'm Grey V! That was a fun game. Let's play another! What are your favorites? I like "chase the string" and "who's a floofy girl?" I'm the floofy girl, by the way. It's me. I also love playing "ragdoll." That's where you pick me up and I just flop. You can cuddle and dance with me, but hang on tight because I might just melt onto the floor. I don't mind being in the shelter
My name is Henry and a year ago, I was dumped. What went through my people's head when they did that? Did they hope and pray that I would find a home quickly? Or was I forgotten the moment they drove away? It doesn't make a difference now. The result is the same. I'm still here, waiting for a home. I'm a big guy- 92 lb- and I'm a little wary of strangers, making it tough to turn them into friends. That doesn't mean I'm not friendly, of course. I have lots of friends, both human and canine, and I love them
My name is Senator Kristopher Patrick Kreme and I'm running for the highest office in the country: Resident President of Your Home. That's right. I want to be your cat. Now, you might be thinking, "Tell me, Kris P. Kreme," (that's what my friends call me), "Out of all the candidates for this prestigious position, why should I choose you?" Well, folks, I'm a cat of the people. My policy with regard to other cats one of reciprocal diplomacy: unless they invade my space, we will not have a problem and can live in peace. However, if necessary, I will not
My name is Loki and you might expect to see me on the cover of Vogue, strutting the runway with my Versace suit jacket slung over my shoulder, or doing vaguely sultry poses in a creatively lit studio while some French lady whispers the name of a perfume brand. This lanky frame, these cheekbones, this slightly-fluffy perma-tux... I am one classy-looking gentleman. Instead of sipping Perrier at Paris Fashion Week, though, I'm sitting in an animal shelter waiting to be discovered. C'est la vie! I'm the kind of guy who prefers small gatherings to big parties. Nothing beats a chill time with

One-eyed, three-legged, deaf, and absolutely perfect! My name is Zima and, as you might guess, I've been through a lot in my 5ish years of life.Technically, I do have two eyes, but only one works. The other is obscured by some old scarring. The deafness? I was probably born that way. My leg... well, I was found in the road, badly injured. The vet said it looked like I was likely thrown from a car. Recovery took months and months and they weren't able to save my leg.In spite of it all, I'm a super sweet cat. I make air
