My name is Starsky and I have big dreams. I want to be the world’s first puppy physicist! I want to study the exact trajectory at which a puppy has to bounce off the walls in order to ricochet directly into your arms. Because I really don’t care if I know you or not. The fact is, I already love you. I love you and your dogs and your cats and your neighbors and all your friends. That’s just science! Okay, so what do I need to know to do these calculations? I’m about 7 months old, currently about 20 lb, I love cookies and toys, I’m a champion pouncer, and I sometimes pee a little when I get picked up. Add in the “very good boy” factor, the wiggle variable, and Newton’s second law of motion, aaaaaannd….Okay. I actually have no idea. I mean, I’m just a puppy and I still have a lot to learn, both about physics and about everything else in the world. I also want to learn English (like, what does ‘sit’ mean? And ‘stay?’) and horticulture (gotta learn to water and fertilize the outside plants!), and general etiquette. So if you want to study gravity, start by falling in love with me!
