Pandora – Ready for Adoption!
Aging gracefully is an art, my dahling! What’s my secret to looking like a puppy at age 11? Plenty of fresh air, lots of love, and never eating things I find on the ground! My name is Pandora. Yep, just like the story about the lady in the box! My favorite part of that story, and the one I most relate to, is that way down at the bottom of that box, there was hope. That no matter what ills and hardships the world has to endure, it’s all possible, as long as there’s still hope.
Right now, that hope revolves almost entirely around building a new life for myself. As a dog, though, there’s only so much that I can do on my own to make that happen! I can be friendly with strangers (I am), gentle with everyone (yup, got that one down), well-behaved (check!) and a very good girl on leash. The rest of it is on you! I’m not legally allowed to sign a contract, so you’ve got to be the one to make the choice and do the adopting.
I haven’t had an official playdate with another dog or cat yet, but I haven’t seemed to mind the other dogs when meeting them through the fence. I would want to meet any potential dog siblings here at the shelter before going home with them, just to see if it’s a good match. The other thing is, even though I don’t show my age, I qualify for the Seniors-4-Seniors program! That means that if someone over 65 adopts me, my adoption fee is just $1 and routine vet care for the rest of my life is covered at no cost at the shelter. Wow. Amazing. Not only am I priceless, but I’m practically free!
So come and check me out! I’d love to meet you! My name is Pandora, I’m eleven years old, and I’m spayed, up to date on shots, and fully vetted.
