My name is Rico and I'm pretty sure I come from outer space. I mean, I don't remember anything but my one and a half years on Earth, but... well, let's look at the facts. First of all, check out these incredible antigravity ears. How do they defy the laws of physics?! They must be extraterrestrial.Second of all, while I love all of humankind, I don't quite fit in with others of my (alleged) species. They don't really get me and I don't really get them, so I'm looking for a home where I can be the only dog. I've
My name is Ob-la-da and I'm looking for my happy-ever-after. I'm just a kitten- eight months old! I could have a whole beautiful life ahead of me. In many ways, I'm your average kitten! I love to play and I enjoy being around other cats (my brothers, Ob-La-Di and Life Goes On, are also available for adoption!), and I'm curious about everything. I spent time in a foster home, so I even got to know about big dogs! I don't mind them at all, by the way. I am definitely on the shy side, so my ideal home would be
My name is Sooner and I can't WAIT to be your new puppy! I'm a super-duper-DUPER good boy and I love you already! I've met lots of people, but I'm still waiting for that one SPECIAL person who will finally be mine! I'm still only a baby, so I don't have a whole ton to tell you about myself yet 'cause I've only been alive for four months. I love to play and I'm pretty smart and trainable and I'm really cuddly and I've got lots of energy! When I get tired of playing, I climb up into your arms
I'm pretty. I'm sweet. I'm declawed. I'm only four years old. I get along well with other cats. You would think my name- Blinky- would be short for "Blink-and-you-missed-her" because I would be such a quick adoption! But the world must be working in your favor because, believe it or not, I'm still here waiting for you. It's got to be fate! The thing is, I don't do all that great in the shelter. And that would be something you'd really have to take into consideration... if you lived in an animal shelter. I'm going to take a wild stab in
Have you ever watched the show Wishbone? About the little dog with the BIG imagination? Well, I think the sequel should be called "Gidget" and should star... me! It would be entertaining, to be sure! Although it probably wouldn't have much to do with classic literature. Let's be real: I do NOT have the attention span for "Ivanhoe" or "A Tale of Two Cities." I may be just a little thing (about ten pounds), but I've got a LOT of energy! It would have to be a kids' show, obviously. I love kids and think it would be awesome if my new
My name is Batuga and I'm all about POSITIVITY! I wake up every morning and think about what a great day it's going to be. Lots of friends. My cat roommate. Good food. And maybe- just maybe- today will be the day I get chosen! Think positively, see? And good things will come to you. Like sometimes, I get visitors and they pick me up and cuddle me! I love that. Or sometimes, they bring a toy and play with me. Amazing. And sometimes, they just hang out and I get to enjoy their company. Fantastic. My attitude isn't the
Puppies! Puppies! Puppies! Check out our little ones before they all become big ones! There are 13 more who don't have photos yet including 3 little little pups. All are 3-4 months old and deserve to be in a home. So fill out the canine preliminary at odas.org/canine and then come on down!
Hi there! Hey, has anyone told you lately that you are the number one most delightful human ever to exist in this world? Wow. You are so cool. You smell terrific and I love your shoes. May I have your autograph? Just make it out to Ansel- that's me!Hey... do you wanna be best friends? That would be, like, my dream come true. We could play with squeaky toys together or run around in the yard or just snuggle. I came to the shelter as a stray, so I don't know a lot of my background. I do know that
Give STL Day has come to an official end! Thanks to your generosity, we were able to raise over $9,300 to help animals in need! Did you miss the deadline? You can still help! Please go to odas.org/donate to give at any time!
This Give STL Day, your donation saves the lives of animals like Beacon. It started with a phone call: a rural veterinary clinic called asking if we could take a dog who needed a wheelchair. They'd had one brought in after being found on the side of the road trying to drag himself out of the ditch. He was thin, wormy, and covered in ticks. One leg ended in an infected open wound and the other in a floppy partial paw. When he arrived, he was a happy guy, full of life and undaunted by his injuries. We named him Beacon
