My name is Neena and I’m a secret agent cat. No, I’m not a cat who likes a life of danger. In fact, I want to live a life that’s as safe and quiet as possible. That’s not where I’m going with this. I just mean I’m stealthy. I’m undercover. You won’t even know I’m there unless I want you to. Does your significant other not want a cat, but you do? Get me. They never need to know. Landlord has a ‘no pets’ policy? I’m your girl. He’ll be none the wiser.

Okay- relax. I’m just kidding. First of all, you shouldn’t get a pet unless everyone involved is on board. Second of all, I’m in stealth mode in the shelter, but I bet you good money that I won’t be once I get into a home.  I’m affection-motivated. If you come and find me and offer me treats, I’ll respond with a solid “meh,” but if you just reach out and touch me, I come to life! Cheek rubs, headbutts, purrs… I really get into it.  At the shelter, I prefer to conduct all this business from the safety of my hidey-hole. There’s a whole lot going on in this giant room full of cats (I mean, I love other cats, but it’s still a lot!) and I’m still kind of getting used to this area, so I’m not ready to come out to greet you and I need you to come to me.  My ideal home would be a quiet home with someone who has the patience to love me even if I want to live under the bed for a while. If there’s another cat who would like to be my friend, even better! I haven’t met dogs, so I’m not sure what I would think of them, except that I probably wouldn’t like to live with a very rambunctious dog or one who chases me.  So whether I’m your little secret cat or whether I take over the whole house, I’ll love you like crazy if you love me back.
