My name is Lilly and I’ve spent half my life looking for a home. I need your help to find one! I’m three years old now and It’s been 18 months since I first arrived at the shelter. 578 Days. I’ve been passed by over and over and over again. I’ll just be up-front with you: it’s because I’m shy. That’s the whole entire reason. I don’t approach visitors and may run away when strangers try to touch me. I’m friendly with people I know, but most people who come to adopt are strangers and I don’t really have time to learn to trust them. Naturally, there’s a lot more to me than just that one thing! Can your whole personality be summed up in one word? Neither can mine! I’m also good with other cats, I love belly rubs, and there’s not much I wouldn’t do for a squeeze-up treat! I love to play with string toys and I’m sweet, quiet, and well-behaved. I’ve been in a foster home for a couple months, where I’ve been enjoying some peace and quiet and learning what “home” can be like! I was still on the shy side in my foster home, so I’ll need someone who can be patient with me even if it takes me a while to get comfortable. I’m never going to be the sort who likes big parties. I’m also not a big fan of dogs or kids small enough to be noisy and unpredictable. I would love to live with another cat. I like other cats and do well when I have one to show me that it’s okay to trust humans. If you don’t have another cat already, I have a sister named Lia (she and I are practically identical, but her eyes are yellower). We don’t have to stay together. I’ve always been good about making friends with other cats. But we do get along well! We also both have sponsored adoption fees, so it would cost you $0 to adopt me, $0 to adopt Lia, and $0.00 to adopt both of us. I’m coming back to the shelter from my foster home next week so that I can meet people and find my family. I know it will be worth it, but I’m really scared in the shelter and would love it if I didn’t have to stay here very long (or even not at all). I need your help with that! If you can adopt, please come and meet me. If you can’t, please share my story so that it can reach as many people as possible. I know my family is out there. My name is Lilly, I’m three years old, and I’m spayed, up to date on shots, and fully vetted.
