Lady Deathstrike – Ready for Adoption!

Um, hello… sorry, I’m a little nervous. This is important, you know? Hellomynameis Lady Deathstrike. I’m a little scared, but I want to be your friend. I’ve been in the shelter for six months now and just earned my “long-term resident” badge. I don’t think any animal should be without a home for that long, but… I’m the kind of girl who takes my time getting adjusted.  I love squeeze-up treats and I love toys. Right now, I’m unsure about petting. If you sit with me and we get to know each other a little bit, I’m up for it. I just need to know if you’re a dangerous human or a gentle and kind one.
If you want to be my friend, just come in and ignore me. Bring a toy, but don’t wave it in my face just yet. Sit with me and play a game on your phone or bring a book and read a chapter while I get used to your smell and presence. Before very long, I’ll come over to investigate. I’ll want to check out your toy and see if you have any treats. We can play together and I’ll let you scratch my ears and pet my head.  Here’s something that I wish people understood: the shelter is a scary place to be. It’s hard for a cat like me to get comfortable enough to let my guard down, so nobody really gets to see my true colors. But you can tell I’m trying. I really want to be your friend.  So what else do you need to know before you take me home? I’m awesome with other cats and would love to have another cat in my home. I’ve lived with and liked dogs. I’m about three years old. And I’d like to live somewhere quiet and peaceful.
Six month in the shelter is long enough. Please don’t let me become a “lifer.” Help me find the person who will love me!  My name is Lady Deathstrike, I’m about three years old, and I’m spayed, up to date on shots, and fully vetted.
