This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine! My name is Ivy and I’m brilliant: young, smart, friendly, and energetic! I’m 8 months old, I love to play, and I’ve already got a little bit of basic training. I’m still just a puppy, though! So I’ve got some things to learn. I need an outlet for my energy, for one thing. Long walks, interactive play, training… a bit of each! What can I say? I’m an active girl. A force of nature. Which means that I have lots of potential to be a truly phenomenal dog! But it also means that, without enough guidance, I might make my own rules. Like, I can be “mouthy” when playing or communicating. I think it’s fun! But apparently, the humans (especially the teeny tiny little ones I used to live with) don’t agree. So that’s one of the things I’m going to need some help with: learning more appropriate ways to have fun and make myself heard. I’ve had a few attempted playdates with other dogs and they haven’t all been successful. So I might be dog selective or might need more socialization with other dogs in order to learn dog manners… or I might just do best as a one-and-only. Mostly, I just need someone to help my light shine. Because it could be the brightest one around! Hide is under a bushel? No! I’m gonna let it shine!
