Etta – Ready for Adoption!

Hi! Hi! Oh… hi! I’m Etta! I wanna be your- What’s that?! Oh. It was a leaf. What was I saying?  Oh, never mind! Do you want to play? Cuddle? Go for a walk? Eat snacks? Do all of those at once? Let’s do it!  Hey, what brings you to the shelter, anyway? I’m here because I got abandoned and then the police started chasing me! Running from the cops was probably not the best choice, but I was scared and didn’t realize they were trying to help me. They called Open Door for backup. I could tell they were dog people, so I let them put a leash on me. I was SO happy once I realized I was safe!
I’m pretty much still a puppy in all ways apart from literally being one. When I got to the shelter, it was clear that I had recently nursed babies of my own. But I’m still only about a year old and a petite 40 lb.  Like all puppies (and especially husky-ish puppies), I’m not going to win any awards for my attention span. I’m goofy, energetic, and interested in everything, all at once. I’m going to need some training and some exercise before I can really claim to be a model citizen, but I’m confident I can get there with your help!  I’m a total sweetheart. I haven’t gotten to play with other dogs yet (I just got spayed and had to heal up before I could party!), but I seem to like everyone I’ve met. If you have other dogs, it would be great if you could bring them to the shelter to meet me so we can see if we’re a match.  I’ve been discarded enough times in my life, so I really need someone who is up for the challenge of training a really smart and awesome dog and isn’t going to give up on me. I would never give up on you!  My name is Etta, I’m a year old, and I’m spayed, up to date on shots, and fully vetted.
