My name is Delilah and I’m like a geode.  Right away, I might seem kind of stony. A bit of a tough exterior. But it’s what’s inside that really sparkles! It’s not til you chip away at the outside a bit that you get to see how special I am.  I’m loving and wonderful and polite. Once I get to know you a little, I’ll flop over for belly scratches and wrap my paws around your arm to hang on. I’m seven years old, so I know how to behave! I can be trusted to be left home alone, I know the appropriate place to go to the bathroom, and my previous owner says I’m good with children and other dogs. I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting cats yet, but that can be arranged.  In the shelter, when I meet someone new, I tend to hang back at first and assess things before deciding that I can really trust them. But once I do, I’m a love! I love to give kisses and sloooooooowly get closer and closer to you.  So if you want a gem, come check me out!
