Cleo – Ready for Adoption!
I’m sorry. I don’t understand. What do you mean you need “personal space”? Obviously, that doesn’t include me, right? You must mean you want “everyone but Cleo” personal space. Because, the thing is, I’m simply too soft and too sweet for anyone to find my up-in-your-business presence anything but a source of pure joy and delight. I’ve seen how people smile when I climb into their laps. They love it. I’ve spent two years of my life on the streets, fending for myself and having babies. Now, that part of my life is over, and I think I deserve to make up for lost time with ALL the attention.
Thing is, I make my own rules. Most of the time, you and I are going to agree on what we want: love and snuggles, a bit of playtime, just being in each other’s presence… the good stuff. But, like, although I want to get in your lap, I don’t really want to be picked up and snuggled. I’m my own woman and I need the freedom to make my own choices! In fact, I can be a bit of a spitfire when I feel too trapped. That’s why I have a sign on my apartment door that says “go slow, I’ll hiss,” In fact, shelter life just doesn’t overall seem to agree with me. The person who had me before I came here said I got along well with the other cat and the dog in the home, but in the shelter, I don’t really seem to like other cats. So, obviously, I’ve got two problems: One, I want to be with you all the time, and I’m not. And two, I don’t want to be in the shelter anymore. Luckily, both those problems have one solution: You. Take me home.
