Sherlock – Ready for Adoption!

Some people's dream dog is a tiny, fancy-colored, fluffy, smooshy-faced, designer-breed puppy. The more merled and doodled and expensive-looking, the better.  And some people's dream dog is a scrappy, wiry-haired, hot mess of a boy who is somewhere between 10 and 722 years old and looks like he's been living in a shack in the woods.  I'm here for that second type of person. My name is Sherlock. I have a weird little skinny tail, but it wags gently every time I see someone I like. I have fur that always looks kinda grubby, even after bathing, but I love having my

Frisco – Ready for Adoption!

Believe it or not, I'm almost ten years old. Yes, it's true. I'm like the Keanu Reeves of dogs. Or maybe Keanu Reeves is the Frisco of humans. Both of us, permanently in our prime.  Say, are you here to take me home? I really hope so! Every time I see a car, I perk up and watch to see if it's my ride outta here. So far, no dice. I remain stubbornly unadopted.  I try not to spend too much energy worrying about the reasons why. I mean, I know I'm a great dog. I mean, I've lived with and done

Morell – Ready for Adoption

My name is Morell and, now that I'm six months old, I suppose I'd probably better get organized! So, without further ado, here's my to-do list: 1. Daily desk flops. Make sure to get in at least a few reps! Bonus points if you can cover your human pals' whole keyboard. 2. Play with the other kittens. I'm a peaceful soul by nature and don't play too roughly, but I do love to play! If the other kittens are occupied, I'm also happy to just play with toys on my own. 3. Find another cat to cuddle. Personally, I love

Pips – Ready for Adoption!

It's GREAT being a kitten, isn't it?! I wish everyone could have this much fun!  My name is Pips, which is great for a kitten 'cause you can turn it into like one million different nicknames. Pippi, Pipsqueak, Pippopotamus, Pippi-Yi-Oh-Ki-Yay... the possibilities are endless.  They put this bow on me so everyone knows I'm a girl, but frills aren't really my thing. I'm the kind of girl who, if I were a person, would come home with skinned knees and grass-stained clothes. I love to explore and investigate, chase bugs, sleep in sunbeams, and play with my friends!  I'm very cat-friendly and, when

Teena – Ready for Adoption!

'Scuse me, pardon me, can I just- there we go! Now that I'm front and center, where I belong, allow me to introduce myself. I'm Teena, I'm eight years old, and I've got dreams of stardom.  Well... small time stardom, that is. What is it they say? "I'd rather be nine people's favorite thing than a hundred people's ninth favorite thing." It's not that I want the whole world to know my face and nothing else (although it is quite a striking face, if I do say so myself). It's that I want to be really important to just a few

Help Fund Charli’s Life-Saving Care

THANK YOU FOR HELPING CHARLI!  WE SURPASSED THE GOAL, THANKS TO YOU! Charli is a 10-year-old cat who has been with us for about three years, living in our senior & special needs cat area. She has diabetes, which requires daily glucose monitoring and insulin shots. Normally, glucose monitoring for cats involves pricking their ear with a needle twice a day. Cats' ears are sensitive, so that hurts! Charli, who is normally a sweet and outgoing cat, hates having her ears pricked and had begun to run and hide when her caretakers tried to touch her because she didn't want

Ivy – Ready for Adoption!

Are you absolutely and completely sick and tired of hearing anything at all about Taylor Swift? Would you rather eat a Carolina reaper than spend an evening at a party full of strangers and loud music? Is your idea of a perfect weekend one where you don't have to say a single word to anyone? Are most of your best friends a different species than you? Then you and I might be kindred spirits. I'm Ivy and I'm unapologetically me. I'm bold and big-hearted. Opinionated and affectionate. I'm not everyone's cup of tea and that's okay. I don't need to please

Harold – Ready for Adoption!

I’m Harold—a 1-year-old, 17 lb ball of fluff with a heart full of potential. Life didn’t start easy for me, so I’m still learning that people can be kind and safe. That means I need a patient adopter who’ll move slowly, respect my boundaries, and give me the chance to build trust. Once I feel comfortable, my true self shines—I’ll come running back for ear scratches, lean in for cuddles, and show you just how sweet and lovable I am. I love toys, treats, and other dogs, and with the right person, I know I’ll blossom into the best little

Frank – Ready for Adoption!

People wanna know, in the shelter with a whole buncha cats, how does the staff tell them apart when they're the same color? Like, how do they know that I'm Frank and not Catlin or Jarvis or Gustav or Roz or any of the others? Well, sometimes, my lips get stuck in my teeth. And I hold my tail folded over my back like a squirrel! But that's not the only way you know it's me. I live in the senior cat section even though I'm only a year old, so when you see a black cat sprinting joyfully back and forth, chasing
