Calling all 24-hour Pawty people! Have you ever visited the shelter and wished you didn't have to leave? Now's your chance! Come join us for an unforgettable night in the shelter and an opportunity to raise some money for animals in need! Kids over 13 are welcome with an adult and anyone over 16 can come on their own. There is no cost to attend! Each participant will be asked to make a fundraiser with a $1,000 goal (a snooze-a-thon!). It's okay if you don't reach that goal! Just do your best. We'll walk you through the specifics and help
People keep saying things to me like, "Poor Guava! Still here after all this time!" or "I can't believe little Guava hasn't found a home yet!" I don't get it, though. I'm a happy little boy! I'm eight months old and have been here since I was just a little fella, so the shelter is the best life I've ever known. People think it's sad that I don't have a home, but I don't even know what a home IS! It must be wonderful, though. So that just means that life is going to get even BETTER. What do I hope
Don't hate me because I'm beautiful. I mean, if you did, it would be so sad for the both of us! You would miss out on getting to know an amazing, sweet cat, and I would never get the chance to get to know what could become my favorite human! My name is Lilith and I'm perfect for you: mellow, sweet, cat-friendly (after a little getting-to-know-you time), and outgoing. A marvelous companion for almost any household. I can be a little aloof at times, of course. Being here and meeting strangers is a little like being approached by random people when you're
WHOOOOOO'S A GOOD HUMAN?! You are! Oh yes you are a good human! Come over here and see your best friend, Gary De'Snake! That's me! I assume we're best friends, anyway. I'm best friends with everyone. And you seem like just the sort of person I like most! I'm six months old and I've been here in the shelter since I was just a wee little guy, so I've made LOTS of friends. I love humans of all shapes and sizes and I'm good with dogs, so friends are all around me! I mean, like most adolescents, I sometimes forget
If being slightly obsessed with Edgar is wrong, I don't wanna be right. Edgar is sweet. He's inquisitive. He's a little ridiculous. He's only a year old. And he's absolutely stupid levels of cute. Honestly? I'm almost disappointed that Edgar has made so much progress in the shelter because I kind of wanted to take him home to foster and he doesn't actually need that now. When he came to the shelter a few weeks ago, he was a shy guy who didn't want anyone to touch him. Well, I mean- shy, but also brave. Even though he didn't want to
Hi!!!! Hi there!!!! My name is Mylah and my aura word is "unbridled." Unbridled enthusiasm, unbridled joy, and unbridled love! Restraint is not in my vocabulary. I know dogs don't wear bridles, but also... at 93 lb, I'm practically "small horse" sized! A really cute, super sweet, slightly-fuzzy, totally irresistible big galoot of a dog. I'm only two and a half years old, so I'm basically a big puppy! My previous family says I was really a good girl, though: housebroken, gentle with little children, and friendly with other dogs and cats. They said I know how to go in
Imagine you woke up tomorrow and, with no warning at all, you had been dropped into the middle of Shanghai. You don't speak Mandarin or know much at all about Chinese customs, culture, geography, or anything, and practically every single person you encounter has been in China all their lives, so all this seems completely obvious to them. I'm Master Chief and that's essentially what happened to me. I spent the first two years of my life in a hoarding situation and then, eleven months ago, most of my feline family members and I were rounded up and brought here!
Here's a challenge: find one single thing about me that is not utter perfection. Just call me Sarabi Poppins because, like my homegirl Mary, I'm practically perfect in every way. I'm young (2 years). I'm little. I'm friendly. I purr all the time. My toaster butt game is immaculate. My personality, nonpareil. I'm a biscuit-making virtuoso. I've got the vibes of an exquisite tropical fish, only... not as damp. And you can pet and cuddle me. I'm pretty new to the shelter and have just been here long enough to get all my vet care done so that I can be ready
