With some cats, what you see is what you get. And with others, you have to dig a little deeper to find the buried treasure. My name is Biscotti and I’m the latter type. I’m that X in the sand that doesn’t look like much, but tells you that, with a little time and effort, you’ll find jewels. I’m about four years old and have lived three of those years in the shelter. I’m a shy girl- you can see it in my saucer eyes. If I don’t know you, I’m probably going to keep my distance. In fact, the section where I live is supposed to be a place where feral cats can stay for life. The people who work with me every day don’t think that’s necessary, though. With them (and with you, too, once I get to know you), I’m sweet and affectionate! I come looking for attention and love being petted.
I get along well with other cats and haven’t had the chance to meet dogs. Mostly, I’m a peaceful soul who just needs a cozy cat tree and a little bit of love.
My human friends think that, if people could just have the chance to see how sweet I am, I would be adopted in a heartbeat! And they say that lots of cats who are scared in the shelter gradually open up and become more playful and affectionate once they find their homes. It will take someone willing to have some patience and have faith in me, but I know there are people out there like that! I just have to reach the right one.
So if you’ve got a quiet home, a big heart, and a little bit of patience, come out and meet me!
