We understand that not everyone is a “small dog person.” If you’re not into dogs you can carry around in designer purses or those with peculiar haircuts resembling tiny brains on top of their heads, we get it. However, we also recognize the wisdom in having a canine companion of a more manageable size. Imagine being able to lift your furry friend into the car even as the years pass and arthritis becomes a concern. Picture a dog that doesn’t completely take over your couch.
Allow me to introduce myself, I’m Nala, and I might just be the ideal dog for you! I weigh around 35 pounds – not too big, not too small. But there’s much more to me than just my size. I’m incredibly snuggly, always eager to tuck my whole body in next to you, my way of sharing a hug. Plus, I’ve mastered the art of sitting in exchange for a tasty cookie.
My journey brought me to the shelter after a frightening experience of being pushed out of a car onto the side of the road. To make things even more interesting, I was pregnant at the time. Can you believe it? I’m just about a year old! While I don’t know much about my life before the shelter, I do know that my future is looking bright. Between caring for my nine adorable puppies until they found their forever homes and going through the process of getting spayed and recovering, I’ve spent quite some time here at the shelter. It was all necessary to prepare me for the wonderful life that awaits me, and I’m more than ready to start the next chapter – a life filled with being absolutely spoiled rotten.
If you already have other dogs, I’d love to arrange a meet-and-greet to see how we get along. And if you don’t, well, then you’re the sole focus of my attention, and trust me, once you meet me, it’ll be impossible to resist my charm. Come meet me today!
