ATTENTION! EVERYONE! EYES OVER HERE! No, I don’t have an announcement. Why would you think that? I just REALLY want your attention! My name is Kel and I need you to bust me out of here A-S-A-P. Why? What’s the rush? Well, I really want to spend every waking minute of the rest of my life with you and I’m wasting precious time standing here waiting. Haven’t you noticed me, right at the front of my pen, reaching my paws out and yelling for someone to pay attention to me? Frankly, I’m hard to miss. I want to do EVERYTHING with you: cuddle, play, simply be involved in what you’re doing… I mean, yes, I’m a cat, but I’m not exactly the kind of guy you’d describe as “cat-like.” I grew up with another cat, but once we got to the shelter, we decided our friendship wasn’t strong enough to withstand that particular transition. In fact, right now, I don’t seem to be all that open to having any cat friends. That may change as I adjust to the shelter. I know I seem pretty confident and bomb-proof, but it’s still a lot to get used to. On the other hand, I’m kinda hoping I’m not here long enough to EVER truly “adjust to the shelter.” I want to skip over that and do my adjusting at YOUR place.
