All that glitters is not gold, but… I am! My name is Abigail and I’m a precious gem of a dog. The very sweetest, or so I’m told.  I’m a soft-hearted girl. Full of love, but also sensitive. The shelter is a scary place to live, so I like to take my time assessing new people and situations before I decide that they’re safe. With a little encouragement and time, I can handle anything- I just need someone to hold my paw and let me know it’s going to be alright.  I’m about two years old and came to the shelter as a stray, so while I learn about your world from the beginning, you’ll get to learn about me in the same way! I can tell you, though, that I get along well with other dogs, love my human friends, and I have a gentle soul. When I get comfortable, I LOVE toys and am super playful! I just need someone I can count on to walk with me and show me the way.  They say you should make new friends, but keep the old because one is silver… and I just might be gold!
