It’s no secret that I’m a little bit different. Galaxies in my eyes and a heart of the purest gold.  My name is Pretzel and I can already tell that our friendship is going to be something special. Stop and lean to pet me for a moment and I won’t pass up the opportunity. I’ll just climb straight into your arms! All I really want is for someone to hold me, carry me around, dance with me to Christmas carols in the kitchen… as long as we’re close, I’m happy. You don’t even have to use your hands. I’ll ride around on your shoulders.  I’m someone’s soul cat, just looking for my other half.  It will have to be a special home, though. You can tell by looking at me that I’m a special girl. I have scarring on my eyes, which means I can’t see very much, but I can see shadows and movements. That’s enough to navigate and to know where you are, which is really all I need in life. I’m also positive for feline leukemia. That means that, if I live with other cats, they would also have to be FeLV+. I’m a gentle soul who likes and gets along well with other cats, so I would be happy to have “positive” companions. But I’m optimistic. I know there’s someone out there who needs me as much as I need them and, if they had a health condition, it wouldn’t stop me from loving them or choosing them. So I have to believe there’s a human who would do the same for me. To make things a little easier, my adoption fee is only a dollar and any vet care related to my FeLeuk status is covered at no cost at the shelter.
