Elizabeth – Ready for Adoption!
Welcome to the inaugural meeting of the “This is Just My Face” club. My name is Elizabeth, founder and chairfeline, and here’s what we, the cats of the TIJMF club, want you to know:
This? This is just my face. I know I look shocked and offended, as though Former Soviet President, the Late Mikhail Gorbachev has just come into the room in a lacy teddy and begun twerking at me. But I promise, I’m not. It’s not Botox that gives me this permanently surprised expression. Nor, indeed, am I constantly seeing skittering ghosts invisible to the human eye. Actually, I’m a friendly, affectionate, generally mellow cat. I often play it cool the first moment I meet someone and am not usually in-your-face without being invited, but I do quite enjoy a good love-fest. In the shelter, I like to hang out where all the people are. I want to supervise all the action and pick just the right time to join! I love to play and am always pleased to have volunteers come hang out with me. I grew up in a hoarding situation with a bunch of other cats and, in the shelter, I’ve never shown any signs of problems with other cats. I free-roam in my section during the day and go back to my apartment with my feline roommates at night and everybody gets along swimmingly! However, I was returned to the shelter for (allegedly) bullying another cat in the home, so I might not be the ideal companion for a very timid or passive cat.
I WOULD, of course, be an ideal companion for pretty much any human. I mean, I’m sweet, I’m well-behaved, and I, for one, think my perma-startled look is adorable. So come check me out!
