Have you ever really wanted to do something, but you were kind of scared? Like riding a roller coaster. Getting up on a stage and performing. Asking someone out for a date. Going on a trip to Thailand. Getting a tattoo. Falling in love. My name is Koe and I know just how that feels. To know you’re going to enjoy something. To know it’s worth doing. To want it so badly. And to be scared at the same time. For me, of course, it’s finding a family. It’s scary, you know? To put your whole life in someone’s hands. Especially for a dog, who depends on their person completely. But when I do find someone who takes the time to get to know me and earn my trust, it’s so wonderful! I love my human friends a lot. I also love my canine friends. I’m ten months old and I love to play with other dogs! I’d be great for someone who needs a dog brother for their current dog. And just so you know, the key to my heart? Is toys!! I light up when I get to play with toys. Dog brothers and sisters would be great. I haven’t encountered cats, so don’t know exactly what I’d think of them. But little humans… I’m going to give that a “no thank you.” I’m a herding dog, for one thing. And for another, I want people to respect my space until I get to know them and that can be tough for young kids. I prefer them big enough to read both chapter books and dogs’ body language. I’m a very good boy and, although meeting new people is scary, I’m so excited to get to know you. Because just like riding a roller coaster or falling in love, I think once I face my fears, I’m going to have a marvelous time!
