Maynard – Ready for Adoption!

I know orange cats who get adopted in fall generally get named “Pumpkin” or, if you’re creative, “Jack,” short for “Jack-o-Lantern.” Me, though? I’m a cat for all seasons. I’ll be your boy all year long. That’s why I’m named Maynard. Being someone’s cat is a big decision, especially if you mean to make it a rest-of-your-life kind of thing, which I do. I’m only about two years old, so I expect the rest of my life to be a long time. That’s why I don’t take this lightly.
I’m an affectionate cat and expert head-butter, but I need a minute to check you out and see what you’re all about before I’m ready to show you my soft side. If you’re willing to sit down with me for a moment and let me come to you, I know you’re my kind of person and it might be a good match. And after we spend a little time together, I think we may decide to spend a little more, then a little more, then forever.  I’m good with other cats and would love to go home with a cat friend. I can often be found snuggled up with one of my fellow felines, so if your other cat would like a cuddle buddy, I’m happy to oblige.
So take your time and think about it. We don’t have to act on impulse. After all, it may be pumpkin spice season right now, but I want to build something that lasts through every season.  My name is Maynard, I’m two years old, and I’m neutered, up to date on shots, and fully vetted.
