You probably think you want a smart dog, right? A real egghead. Well, I’m Jethro, and I gotta tell you… clever clogs dogs are kinda overrated. Sure, if you want to spend a whole bunch of time doing puzzles and giving them jobs to do and teaching them tricks and stuff, then a brainy pup might be right for you, but most people don’t really want to do that. When it comes down to it, they want a dog for the HEART.

And that works out well for me because I’ve DEFINITELY got heart! I’m the kind of dog who instantly loves you when I meet you. And sure, I may be sharing one brain cell with a few of my friends (and I never seem to get a turn), but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. I mean, I betcha that, while Lex Luthor and Magneto are busy trying to take over the world or whatever, their dopey dogs are contentedly napping belly-up on the couch and committing zero crimes, right?  I’ve got the wiggliest butt in the greater St. Louis area. I’m good with other dogs and like to play with them. I haven’t met little kids, so I’m not sure what I’d think of them. I’m about three years old and in the neighborhood of 60 lb.

Cats, though… well, I may not seem like an ambitious dude, but I can be focused and determined when properly motivated. Let me be clear: it’s a big fat “NO CATS” for me. And probably no other small animals, either. I think with my heart first, but my stomach is a close second. Unfortunately, I think small animals look pretty tasty.  So if you want a dog with super soft ears and nothing in between them, come and check me out! I’m a total sweetie and ready to meet my people!
