Guava – Ready for Adoption!

People keep saying things to me like, “Poor Guava! Still here after all this time!” or “I can’t believe little Guava hasn’t found a home yet!”
I don’t get it, though. I’m a happy little boy! I’m eight months old and have been here since I was just a little fella, so the shelter is the best life I’ve ever known. People think it’s sad that I don’t have a home, but I don’t even know what a home IS! It must be wonderful, though. So that just means that life is going to get even BETTER.  What do I hope home is like? Well, I hope I can still have lots of friends. I love to play with other dogs and meet new people! I’m learning how to go for walks on the leash, and my dream is to be someone’s walking buddy one day. I’m snuggly and wiggly and generally gentle (as much as an adolescent puppy can be) and I think I’ll make a great best friend.  You know what else I hope my home has? LOADS of toys. Toys that are just for me! I mean, I can share with another dog, but I really love toys and would it would be great to have some of my own! I’m pretty smart, so I bet I could even do puzzles! I like squeaky toys, stuffed toys… all kinds of toys.  Mostly, I hope that “home” is a place where I can have the a family of my own, who will love me for the rest of my life. Where I can wake up every day and know I’m going to spend it being safe and loved. Let’s make it happen!  My name is Guava, I’m eight months old and about 45 lb, and I’m neutered, up to date on shots, and fully vetted.
