What I’d like to know is, who says you can’t be a distinguished gentleman and the world’s cutest wittle baby boy at the same time? I have to say, I respectfully disagree. My name is Emmet and I’m both those thing rolled up into one little pup.  Well, I say “pup.” I’m actually estimated at more like three years old. I was found as a stray, so I don’t know when my birthday is. But I’m sweet and snuggly and love a good toy. And hey- like I said, any age of dog can be someone’s baby.

As for the gentleman part, I’ve got that in the bag. Look at this serious expression. Can’t you picture me with a top hat and monocle? I’m a very polite boy who walks nicely on leash and is friendly, but not too pushy, with everyone I meet. I’m not very large-probably not even 40 lbs. – and I’m not a jumper or a puller or a wild man. I get along quite nicely with other dogs and, although I haven’t had the chance to officially meet cats, I have had a chance encounter through a fence and had no reaction at all.  I’m a stoic fellow, but I do show flashes of joy and whimsy and, the more you get to know me, the more you can see that I really can be a silly goose when the occasion calls for it! There’s a lot to take in here at the shelter, though, and it’s tough for me to let loose. So if you’re looking for a gentledog to add to your home… and also for a baby to love, I hope you’ll consider giving me a chance. I’ve got a little of both!
