Banana – Ready for Adoption!

What was Beethoven’s favorite fruit? BA-NA-NA-NAAAaaaaa. What kind of key opens a Banana? A monkey! Why do people love Bananas so much? They’re a-PEEL-ing! And why are Bananas never lonely? They come in bunches!
My name is Banana and I want to be part of your bunch! I’m seven months old I’ve waited my whole life for the day I get to officially join someone’s family for good.
I’m a sweet, smart, snuggly, dog-loving boy who is sometimes a little shy, but finds courage in the people and dogs I trust.
I’m currently living in a foster home, which is pretty fantastic. They’re teaching me all about the rules and routines of home life. If I’m not sure, I follow my canine foster brother’s lead. I love him and I really hope I get to have a confident dog sibling to grow up with once I find my permanent home!
I’m a star student in the crate training department: I go into my crate with just a little gentle encouragement and can keep it clean overnight or when people are not home. I’m also making lots of progress on housebreaking in general and only occasionally have accidents (like when it rains all day).
Every morning, I wake up happy and excited to see what the day has to offer! My foster person says my butt wiggles and kisses are the highlight of her morning. Will I get to play? I love wrestling with my foster brother, chasing balls, and playing tug. I also love going for walks and know how to ride nicely in the car to get to the park! Maybe I’ll get some opportunities to snuggle. I love a lap nap and will curl up and snooze with you while you watch TV or hang out on the couch. Maybe… there will be snacks? Believe it or not, veggies are my favorite! I love a frozen carrot for dessert.
What I’m REALLY hoping will happen, of course, is that this will be the day I finally get to meet my forever family. I’m a very good boy, getting more and more confident by the day, and I’m ready to be someone’s baby!
My name is Banana, I’m seven months old and 40 lb, and I’m neutered, up to date on shots, and fully vetted. I’m available for adoption by appointment only (because I’m in a foster home), so if you’re interested in meeting me, please go to odas.org/canine to fill out an application or e-mail dogs@odas.org for more information.
