Celia – Ready for Adoption!

I don’t understand it when people say that the only dogs you’ll find in shelters are pit mixes and they can’t adopt because they “need something suitable for a family” or “need an inside dog” or “need a dog with a good temperament.” My name is Celia and I’m all of those things. A pit mix, obviously (although there are PLENTY of other breeds in the shelter). A great family dog. An inside dog. A dog with a marvelous temperament.  I mean, I’m good with other dogs and cats. I love kids so much they use me to do meet and greets with school groups. I’m over-the-top sweet and wiggly, not to mention ADORABLE. I love treats, belly rubs, walks, and YOU. And temperament? You really can’t get better than this. I’m happy, outgoing, well-behaved, and eager-to-please. What more could anyone ask for?  I came to the shelter when my person drove up to the gates, kicked me out of the car, and then drove away without leaving any explanation or information. I’m a good girl, so I stayed there and waited for them to come back, but they didn’t. Instead, the shelter staff arrived after a while and brought me in where I would be safe. So I don’t know much about my history, but I hope to make my future brilliant! I bet you can help with that.  So if you don’t think the shelter has a dog you’d want, open your mind to new possibilities and consider coming to meet me!
