Staurolite, stauro bright, first stauro I see tonight…How can it me that my name is a homophone for the thing that people wish on every night and yet my own wishes go ungranted? I’m Staurolite, I’m six months old, and I’m the last of my litter. All my brothers and sisters have been adopted, but I’m still waiting! The reason? A complete and total mystery. I’m outgoing and sweet and have served as an ambassador at events since I was a little baby. I’m gentle, I LOVE toys (especially sticks!) and I’ve never met a stranger. I listen well, I’m pretty chill for a puppy, and I’m very teachable! I love to snuggle up next to someone and just lean in while they scratch my ears and chin and belly and whatever part they can reach. I haven’t met cats, but I get along well with other dogs and have always done well when meeting children. I’ve done everything I can to be a genuinely very good girl! I’ve heard that sometimes, dogs like me get overlooked because of our color or our size (I’m probably going to be medium-to-large fully grown) or because we’re mixed breed, but I don’t see how any of that matters. I want to be someone’s best friend, not their status symbol or decoration! So I’ll just keep wishing on stars (or staurolite) until my fondest wish comes true: a home and a family to call my own, at last! I’m Staurolite, I’m six months old, and I’m spayed, up to date on shots, and fully vetted.
