Jammy – Ready for Adoption!

Oh, hi. Sorry, I’m not used to people coming to talk to me. I’m Jammy and I’m pleased to meet you. I’m a bit of a wallflower, but that just means it takes a little effort to get to know me. Trust me- it’s totally worth the effort!  Thing is, the shelter is pretty public and this is where I live for now. It’s kind of like being permanently at a school dance where you don’t really know anyone. And not being able to leave.  If that sounds like your idea of actual hell, then you might get me. And you might get that I’m not unfriendly at all. I’m just overwhelmed and a bit of an introvert. In fact, I’m super affectionate once someone comes and talks to me! I love to play with toys and, when I let loose, I’m not afraid to get silly!  Most of the time, though, I’m most comfortable snuggled up in my hidey hole bed. I’m seven years old and have had a home since I was adopted from Open Door as a kitten, so shelter life is a big change for me. Not only that, but my world has been shaken up a lot recently and I’m still kind of reeling from it all. I can’t wait to finally find a comfortable home and be able to settle into a routine. Once I get my bearings, I think I’ll be a lot more dynamic. But for right now, all I want is a safe little retreat.  Since I haven’t wanted to come out of my cage in the shelter, I don’t really know what I think of other cats. It’s going to take some time for me to figure it out, but I also don’t really want to have to stay in the shelter for too long, so I’m kind of hoping to get adopted before I get too comfortable here.  So come over and talk to me. Let’s strike up a friendship. Wallflowers can make the best kinds of pals!  My name is Jammy, I’m seven years old, and I’m spayed, up to date on shots, and fully vetted.
