From tragedy to triumph: Bo is ready for adoption! Bo came to us in April, after a house fire caused by a lightning strike claimed the life of his human and the cats and other dog in his home. Bo was badly burned and was suffering from smoke inhalation, but he made it out. He survived! It’s been a long, painful, and sometimes gruesome healing process for our sweet, resilient boy. He’ll be left with some scars that may never leave him. But he’s finally ready to start on the next chapter of his life: finding a new home! Bo is about seven years old and around seventy pounds. He’s well-mannered, gentle with other animals, and very sweet with people. He can be a little bit shy on first meeting, but warms up quickly and loves to cuddle. He’s a strong dog who loves to go on walks, so he’d like a home with someone who is physically able to handle him on leash. He loves car rides and is a great co-pilot! I’ll spare you the gory details of what went into treating his burns, but you can imagine how painful it must have been, even with as much pain control as we could give. Bo is the kind of gentle dog who, even though he had just been through unimaginable trauma, allowed total strangers to treat his wounds, care for him, and love him. Now, it’s time for his shelter days to come to an end and his new life to begin. Bo is looking for someone who sees what a beautiful soul he is, scars and all. To shower him with all the love he so deserves. Could you be the one? Bo is seven years old, neutered, up to date on shots, and fully vetted.
