The Reaching New Heights Capital Campaign, launched to recognize our 40th Anniversary in 2015, will allow us to be true to our mission by raising funds to make these critical capital improvements:

  • Renovating our dog kennels to reduce the level of noise in the buildings, create a less “reactive” environment for the dogs, create a more appealing experience for potential adopters and make it easier for staff and volunteers to provide care for each dog. (Phase 1): 2016 Capital Campaign Sponsor Opportunities Flyer
  • Converting Pampurred Palace into an adoption friendly area and making improvements to the enclosures to provide better care for and ensure the safety of each cat. (Phase 1) Fully Funded!
  • Rebuilding a new Second Chance addition to replace the existing, obsolete structure. (Phase 2)
  • Remodeling the current lobby area into an adoption-friendly reception, meet and greet and consultation area. (Phase 3)
  • Constructing a new building to house a veterinary clinic, offices and a meeting/training room. (Phase 3)

We have set a fundraising goal of $400,000 in honor of the 400 cats and dogs we care for daily and those that we have saved in the last 40 years. This funding will be applied toward Phase 1 projects. Donations of any size will make a difference in the lives of our cats and dogs! Please help us reach our goal by following this link to our Reaching New Heights Donation page.

Please consider being a part of this historic effort by making a donation to the Reaching New Heights Campaign. You can make a donation by following this link, mailing your contribution to Open Door Animal Sanctuary, or call Carrie Warren, Director of Development, to discuss opportunities to provide funding for specific portions of the renovations including naming rights of sponsored areas or email: carrie@odas.org. In addition to making a direct donations, there are other many other ways to get involved:

  • Organize a fundraiser at your workplace or school, such as a “Dress Down Day” or a 50/50 raffle. Proceeds from one or more in-house fundraisers can be pooled and donated toward a specific portion of the renovations.
  • Host a donation display in a public area of your workplace, school or church to encourage and accept donations for the campaign.
  • Donate a gift of stock or appreciated securities. It is beneficial to Open Door and to you.

Thank you for your support!

We would like to sincerely thank our generous Reaching New Heights Capital Campaign sponsors!
